Are We There Yet???

when it rains it pours, but at the end of every storm there is a rainbow!

 Wednesday July 29th i miss my train out of Savannah , in liu my dear friends and i plan a day at Tybee Island were two of us get severly stung by jellyfish. we are then chased off the beach by a windy sand storm,dark and tretcherous water filled clouds,and hurricane rains. but we don’t let anything stand in the way of preparing are third consecutive delicious dinner party at Josh’s house this one, seafood themed:low-country boil, crab legs, mussels,and all the amazing trimmings!who needs vacation when you ahve wonderful friends and delicious food!?!

i leave early thursday morning- final destination sunday  the mountains of Quebec

it wasa right about this stop in Jacksonville when i saw an old woman exiting the train with my luggage,i luckily notified an attendant to retrieve it for me,so much for vintage luggage!  a few hours later my friend picking me up in Florida goes to the wrong train station, not once, but twice! finally upon finding me rain soaked and irritated he must rush me to the nearest ER where my leg has to be injected with a plethora of steroid and benedryl shots to fight my new found allergic reaction to jellyfish stings! vacaton cannot come soon enough, are we there yet???

Les Franco Folies De Montreal. the annual  11 day jazz festival! 175 performers on nine different stages. we were able to see Bela Fleck the night we arrived! incredible!

it seemed like everyone in the city gathered around this fresh spring water pool in the middle of Montreal. jeans rolled up,toes dipped in, lay back on the warm concrete.live jazz, sweet vanilla ice cream, and beautiful french speaking strangers all around.  it will be hard to leave this beautiful city in the morning, but i can’t wait to see the countryside of Quebec!

Flying High In FLA

i decided the perfect way to wrap up my trip would be to spend some time at home in Florida with my family. Days filled with water balloon fights, six hour swims in the pool,and tons of Hanna Montana! A week spent with my two  little sisters Laci,4 and Lindi,2 is a week in heaven for me! I cherish those lil ones more than anything and they have a very special way of reminding me about the little, and ooooo soooo important things in life!
